Riverside Plants is a family-run business that has been dedicated to providing high-quality plants to both retail and wholesale customers for over 40 years. Our journey began in 1976 when our Linton nursery first opened its doors, and since then, we have expanded to include a second site in Shadwell, Leeds. Our mission is to offer unrivalled quality and customer service to every customer, every time.
Our Services
At Riverside Plants, we pride ourselves on producing an extensive range of high-quality home-grown bedding plants and perennials, which are available at both our Linton and Shadwell nurseries. Our collections include summer and winter bedding plants, basket plants, perennials, planted patio containers, and hanging baskets. In addition, our Shadwell nursery also stocks a good range of container-grown shrubs and trees, compost, bark, and manure, as well as a selection of ceramic pots and containers.
Seasonal Developments and Changes
We regularly update our news section to keep our customers informed about the seasonal developments and changes at Riverside Plants. From National Gardening Day to Mother's Day, we have a range of special events and promotions throughout the year. We also work closely with CATCH, a community-based charity that helps young people develop their skills and confidence through gardening and other activities.
Our Nurseries
Our Linton nursery has been a staple of the local community for over 90 years, and we are proud to have been a family-run business throughout that time. Our Linton site is the centre of our wholesale operation, where we grow our high-quality bedding plants and perennials. Our Shadwell nursery, which opened in 2007, is our principle retail sales site, where we sell a range of plants, composts, and gardening accessories to both trade and retail customers.
Opening Hours
Our nurseries are open to the public Monday to Sunday, with varying hours depending on the site. Our Linton nursery is open from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Saturday, and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sundays. Our Shadwell nursery is open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday to Saturday, and 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Sundays. Please note that we are closed on Bank Holidays.
